QA Engineer

What you would do

    An Ombud QA engineer is responsible for maintaining a high-quality codebase and in that effort develop tools and processes that assist the entire product team.

  • Work with developers to ensure proper code test coverage
  • Provide scalability testing
  • Provide security analysis
  • Manually test applications for user experience and requirement satisfaction
  • Maintain automated test suite and integrations with deployment systems
  • Field bug fix requests from organization and customers
  • Resolve existing bugs and ensure a small bug backlog

What we need

  • A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Coding proficiency in at least one language (we use Java, Groovy and Javascript)
  • Several years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (like Amazon EC2)
  • Sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills
  • Personal motivation and the drive to execute with minimal guidance

Code samples, GitHub accounts or portfolios will be a major component of the selection process.

Technology Analyst

What skills do we desire?

The Technology Research Analyst is principally responsible for conducting research delivered in the form of written documents, presentations, dialogues, videos, blogs, and other forms of media. A Technology Research Analyst is an articulate though-leader, and also an inquisitive student. In this position, you will divide your time among the following responsibilities: client inquiry, including research to answer inquiries, published research (text and presentations), client support, and other various activities. The TRA will work closely with the Customer Success Team to understand, define, and document client business objectives and key functional requirements of enterprise software solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop thought leading research deliverables
  • Develop market surveys for enterprise software categories to ensure the necessary data is captured
  • Stay up-to-speed on market trends and develop analyses based off of them
  • Consult enterprise customers about technology they are looking into and be able to explain capabilities of the solution category in detail
  • Work with clients on strategic and tactical technology challenges
  • Create materials for and deliver face-to-face, teleconferenced, and taped presentations to clients
  • Lead briefings and demonstrations with technology vendors to gain a deep understanding of their solution set
  • Engage with users one-on-one, working closely with enterprise customers to understand business challenges and design appropriate solutions
  • Document, organize, and respond to client suggestions in a timely manner
  • Provide sales support by speaking to prospective and existing clients via telephone and by making face-to-face sales calls with sales personnel

What we expect from you?

Customer Success Manager

We are looking for advocates who have experience engaging within user communities and providing customer support. The team addresses day-to-day customer needs, collecting customer feedback, establishing and maintaining a constructive community, and analyzing the users’ activity and preferences in order to propose follow-on, value-added functionality. You should be very comfortable with listening to customers, providing excellent communication and dedicated to 100% customer retention.

You have

  • BA/BS (a technical field or management is a plus)
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Must be patient, mature, diplomatic, and personable
  • Take pride in diagnosing and resolving customer service issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience analyzing customers’ business problems and recommending product solutions
  • Possess the organization skills to efficiently manage a customer service caseload. Experience with a customer service platform desired
  • Coordinate across a matrix structure of technology and business teams
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Online customer experience or online product management strongly desired
  • Experience developing social products, technologies and platforms is a plus
  • Experience using a CRM solution (Salesforce, SugarCRM, etc)

Your Responsibilities

  • Engaging with users one-on-one, working closely with enterprise customers to understand business challenges and design appropriate solutions
  • Documenting, organizing, and responding to user suggestions in a timely manner
  • Identifying repeated issues and root causes and making recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Analyzing user activity to identify those functions that are most valued and those that are not meeting the users’ needs
  • Establish shared vision across the online community by enforcing online community rules and implementing moderation procedures as needed
  • Facilitating constructive community discussions
  • Coach and mentor other customer success managers in customer engagement best practices

Full-Stack Developer

You have

  • A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical discipline or equivalent experience (You must know the difference between graph theory and graph paper)
  • Coding proficiency in at least one language (we use Java and Groovy)
  • Several years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (like Amazon EC2)
  • Sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills
  • Personal motivation and the drive to execute with minimal guidance
  • Good hygiene and you enjoy late nights perusing through GitHub for a project to fork

Your skills

  • MySQL, Hibernate, and HBase
  • One or more web app frameworks (like Ruby on Rails, Groovy/Grails, or Python/Django)
  • Configuration and maintenance of common server applications (like Tomcat and Apache)
  • Linux and TCP/IP network fundamentals
  • Version control with git

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build robust and impactful tools and systems
  • Design and implement new and exciting features
  • Build integration points with other systems and tools utilizing web services and APIs
  • Develop and review system architectures, capacity plans, tooling needs, automation plan and product launch plans
  • Manage our back-end services (Hadoop, HBase, Solr, MySQL, Tomcat, Apache, EC2)

Inside Sales - Account Development Representative

Ombud is seeking a sales professional to join our growing company. In this role, you will work directly with top brands and Ombud’s executive team to deliver solutions that change the way enterprises research, select, and implement technology solutions.

Ideal candidates can execute on an inside sales strategy, build deep client relationships, leverage the Ombud platform to provide actionable insights, and manage productivity-enhancing projects. You have
