With over twenty years of Sales and Operations experience within the technology sector, Lars Nilsson offers a unique blend of leadership skills and sales acumen that has benefited multiple start ups in the Bay Area. At all the companies that Lars has joined as a senior sales leader, his focus has been maintained on developing and optimizing Inside Sales and Sales Operation organizations by leveraging tested sales processes and best of breed CRM technologies. Over the course of his career, Lars has developed significant expertise in deploying and integrating Sales 2.0 technologies within SalesForce.com to promote companywide CRM adoption as well as produce ubiquitous visibility for executives into their sales force. This unique use of SalesForce.com, combined with his experience in building out Inside Sales organizations from the ground up has allowed Lars to be a key contributor for multiple successful start ups in the Bay Area.

Currently, Lars serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of SalesSource, a premier business services consulting firm specializing in CRM/SFA customization and sales process development. In this role, Lars combines best-of-breed process with technology and methodology to drive and support sales pipe-lines for venture backed consumer and enterprise start-ups, as well as larger more established organizations looking to optimize/enhance/revamp/rebuild/ augment/elevate/improve their current sales practice/system/process/custom/procedure.

Prior to founding SalesSource, Lars held a position as the VP of Field Operations for ArcSight: An HP Company, where he has been responsible for the company’s Inside Sales, Renewals and Sales Operations organizations; Lars’ efforts at ArcSight have been instrumental in driving over 20% of company revenues and 70% of new business pipeline revenue. Prior to joining ArcSight, Lars served in Sales Executive roles at Riverbed Technology, Rapt Inc., and Portal Software. Lars began his sales and management career at Xerox Corporation where he excelled in the highly touted Xerox Management Training program. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1989.
